How do you estimate the number of Flex developers in India?

This is a question that has been troubling me for quite a while.  Yakov & Mrinal have tried to come up with some ways of getting to this, but I was wondering if there are any other ways of doing this?

    Hi Raghu
    I feel flex india would be the best place to find it
    we could start a count down thread where everyone who is a flex developer write down his name
    also we could request them to spread the news through word of mouth .

    Use google trends http://www.google.com/trends?q=flex and normalize the total number to Flex downloads to India OR if possible, you can find the downloads of Flex kits from India

    looking at flexcoders.net, it lists 170 flex coders from India…but I am sure there must be far more than that…
